WHAT FACTORS DETERMINE IF A USED CAR IS GOOD

It's a question that from the outset should be easily answered; when is a used or second-hand car considered "Good". As you're reading this you may even know what the main factor is regarding a second-hand car, and it's mileage.
The question you'd ask yourself then is when is the mileage too much? A bit a research into this will tell you that, for the most part, 10,000km to 15,000km per year is generally an acceptable amount. Using those figures, a 2 year old car should be in the ball park of 20,000km to 30,000km. This would be considered a good amount, as Irish drivers average around 15,000km to 18,000km.
However, after considering the mileage of a used car the factors to determine if it is "Good" become more grey. The price, along with the brand name and model of car, could be just below the used cars mileage in terms of importance. The number of previous owners is also important to consider.
Lastly, the condition of the car is a huge factor, both for it's interior and exterior. Scratches and scuff marks are a serious red flag and turn off from what might have been a perfectly good car. While mileage is the main factor, more often than not we usually see the car before we know what mileage it has on the clock.
